Please notice: The following information and drivers are valid for the PIP7-1
and PIP7-2 only. Please go to the PIP7-1x Download Area
for the most recent PIP versions.
BIOS upgrades are available as Windows executable program files. Running the downloaded
.exe file on a Windows PC, allows you to create a bootable floppy containing a minimal
FreeDOS installation, the BIOS image, and all tools
required to update the BIOS. Booting this floppy on the MPL SBC will update the existing BIOS
after the normal "Are you sure?" questions. Additionally, the BIOS update floppy allows you
to backup the existing BIOS in case you want to revert the upgrade. Please refer to the
BIOS user manual for more information.
Please update the BIOS only if you are experiencing problems and you are sure that the new BIOS revision will solve it. Careless updating may result to more problems. If you are not sure about the implications, please contact MPL AG.
Remark: The BIOS updates below do not incorporate the FastBoot functionality. The "FastBoot" BIOS for the PIP7 is available upon request only. Please contact for further information.

The demo projects are distributed as stand alone SLX Definition files. The resulting images will be around 250 MB in size and represent a fairly complete starting base for your own projects. The Packages containing drivers and hardware dependencies have been organized as a "MPL Hardware Repository" for easy inclusion into the Windows XP Embedded data base and easy upgrade in the future.
