MPL introduces with the MAGBES a new Ethernet Switch product family. It features a versatile design that allows different combinations of fiber and copper LAN ports. The products is available in two basic versions; a 5-port Gigabit Ethernet switch module with 3 copper and 2 fiber optical interfaces or a 5-port Gigabit Ethernet switch module with solely copper interfaces. The two basic versions are available in different mechanical configurations. The hot pluggable SFP transceivers are available on the open market or from MPL with a variety of different variations allowing users to select the appropriate technology according to the applications need.
